Cool weather nice for running!

I had fun with Marcy at the Kenowa track last Wednesday.  Looking forward to this week!  This cooler weather has been nice!  My friend Keriann and I are training for the 10 mile bridge run on September 16.  We ran 8 miles yesterday and were appreciative of the 65 degree morning weather.  We ran hills which was tough.  Jenny are you reading this?  When you come for your Mom's wedding will it be possible for us all to meet?

Motivation

I went on the treadmill tonight... I walked but at least this is a start!  I keep thinking back to when we were at dinner and we talked a little bit about what motivates us.  I am having a hard time with being motivated.  I am very motivated during the day when I can't run because I don't have someone to watch the kids, but by the time that night comes I am tired and all I want to do is veg.  (It doesn't help that Chris has been putting in so many hours and that we are having sleep issues with the girls... but that is another story! :)  What would you say motivates you and how do you fit your exercise in?

Trying...

So, I am Up North on vacation and have walked/jogged two times, neither have been long distances but I am getting out there and doing something! 
I have noticed 2 things:
1.  I am WAY out of shape
2.  I have WAY TOO many jiggly parts!!!

It has motivated me though to keep it up the next week while I am here and continue when I get home.  Tina, you don't know how many times I think of you as I am struggling, thank you!!  I have been going with my sister, the dog and my nieces and it is adorable what a little motivator my niece is trying to be.  So, baby steps right now and that has to be ok! 

Would love to get together for a walk/jog when I get back.  What works for you guys??  Monday and Tuesday are not great for me.

Slacker....

I feel like I talk big but can't live up to it!  I have to start!  I keep saying that I will tomorrow and then something comes up.  We are out of town all weekend (Christmas in July with Chris' family... a blast!) so... Monday will be my start date.  Expect a post from me that night!  (If I have to come report back to you guys then I will have to do it right?)

How is it going?

How is it going for everyone? I have mixed feelings about running in the intense heat we've been having. On one hand I really like it because you get sweating so much you really feel like you got a good workout, but it is tough when the air is humid. I ran the Reed's Lake 10K a couple weekends ago. It definitely wasn't one of my best runs. I had to work a wedding the night before it and didn't get to bed until 1:00, then had to be up at 6:30 to get there in time. Couldn't find a parking spot so had to park about a mile and a half away and run just to get there. Then when I went to get my number, my registration had been invalid (long story), so I had to run another half mile or so just to get what I needed. Oh brother.... I had fun, but got a slower time than I wanted and felt a bit discouraged, but then as I approached the finish line there were my 5 boys! Easton ran through the finish line with me, it was very cool! I've ran about 4 or 5 times since the race and they have been pretty good runs. I ran 6 miles on Sunday and it went well. It was nice to have it be so much cooler. Who wants to plan a run together? We could meet at the Kenowa track? Tracks are a good way to start out! Take care everyone!
